Texas panhandle pet savers

Foster a Pet

Texas Panhandle Pet Savers does not have a shelter. Animals are placed in the homes of loving foster volunteers who care for the pets until they are adopted. The rescue can help with beds, food, crates and other supplies to make the fostering experience a good one. Please consider saving a pet by fostering a pet.

Fostering— It’s all about saving animals.

Bottle Babies

This little pup came from a litter where the mother was ran over and died leaving several pups.  Our fosters bottle fed the babies until they could eat solid food.

Saved from the pound

Many animals in the program are rescued from Animal Control. Fostering gives these awesome animals a second chance at life.

We have awesome volunteers and fosters

Many TPPS volunteers also foster animals during the week. It is very rewarding to love and nurture an animal until it can find a forever home. We are always looking for new fosters.

Cat Condo

Petco furnished a “Cat Condo” for the cats in the rescue. The cats stay at Petco and fosters care for them during the week.

Animals from Hoarders

When a person has too many dogs and needs help finding them homes, we can help. During this rescue, 25 dogs were moved from their home and placed in either foster homes or boarding. The more fosters we have the more animals we can save.

Bath Time

These guys just had a nice warm bath and are getting ready for adoptions. Come meet our animals at Petco.

Foster Fail

Meet an example of a “Foster Fail”. This happens when a foster gets too attached to an animal and decides to adopt them into their family. (You cant’ say we didn’t warn you.)

Is Fostering your cup of tea?

Consider fostering if you haven’t tried it before. The rescue can provide food, dog beds, collars and other supplies that have either been purchased or donated. Our volunteers love helping new fosters get started. It is a wonderful experience to help an animal.

Part time Fosters

Some fosters will keep animals when the primary foster needs to go out of town for the weekend. You can foster as much or as little as you want.

Are you a cat-person or a dog-person?

We have several cats in the rescue. If you are more of a cat-person, TPPS has many cats in the program that could use your help.
